Video#

Show a hosted, YouTube, or Vimeo video as a player or background.

Add this section#

Select Add section > Video on the template you want to edit.

Settings#

The settings below follow the same order as the theme editor.

Video#

  • Video: Choose a video from your library.
  • YouTube or Vimeo link: Paste a supported video link. Used when no video is uploaded.
  • Play as: Choose Player with controls or Background video. Background video plays muted on a loop. For uploaded videos.
  • Cover image: Choose an image from your library. Leave empty to use the video's first frame. 1920 x 1080px recommended.
  • Start with sound off: Turn this on or off.
  • Loop video: Turn this on or off.
  • Video description: Enter the text to show. Read out to screen readers.

Text#

  • Subheading: Enter the text to show.
  • Heading: Enter the text to show.
  • Text: Enter and format the text.
  • Button label: Enter the text to show.
  • Link: Choose the page or address to open.
  • Caption: Enter the text to show.
  • Content position: Choose Above the video or On the video.
  • Overlay opacity: Use the slider from 0 to 90 %. For text on the video and background videos.

Layout#

  • Width: Choose Page width or Full width.
  • Height: Choose Adapt to video, Small, Medium, Large, or Full screen. Adapt to video keeps the whole frame. The other heights fill the space and crop the edges.
  • Color scheme: Choose a color scheme from Theme settings > Colors.

Section padding#

  • Top padding: Use the slider from 0 to 160 px.
  • Bottom padding: Use the slider from 0 to 160 px.

Mobile layout#

  • Video: Choose a video from your library. A vertical cut for phones. Leave empty to use the main video.
  • Height: Choose Same as desktop, Adapt to video, Small, Medium, Large, or Full screen.
  • Content position: Choose Same as desktop or Above the video.
  • Top padding: Use the slider from 0 to 120 px.
  • Bottom padding: Use the slider from 0 to 120 px.

Blocks#

This section does not use blocks.

Tips#

  • Add your real content before fine-tuning spacing and colors.
  • Check the section at both computer and phone widths. Use Mobile layout for the phone-specific choices.
