Standard pages, breadcrumbs and gift cards

This guide covers three store-wide page elements: the template used by standard pages, breadcrumbs that show a visitor’s location, and the gift card page.

Any page you write under Online StorePages renders on the Page section unless you give it another template. Under Heading: Show page title, an Eyebrow above it, a Subheading, and alignment. Under Text: Line length in characters, so paragraphs stay readable at any width, Text size, and alignment.

Show table of contents builds a list from the headings in your page content and links each one; it stays hidden when the page has fewer than two headings. Name it with Table of contents title, choose whether it lists second-level headings only or third-level too, and Keep visible while scrolling pins it beside a long page. Add sections above or below the page as you would anywhere else.

The Breadcrumbs section shows the trail from Home to the current page: a collection, a product inside it, an article inside its blog. Add it at the top of the page templates you want it on; it is not offered on the home, password or gift card pages. Alignment, a Separator of slash, chevron or dot, and Show the collections link to add the all-collections page between Home and the trail.

A product’s trail uses the collection the shopper came from, then the product’s first collection. To pin a product to a path, fill its Breadcrumb path or Breadcrumb collection metafield. Under Mobile layout, phones can show the crumbs, a single Back link one step up, or nothing.

When someone buys a gift card, the card they receive opens on the Gift card section. Layout stacks the card above the details or sets them side by side. Under The card, upload a Card image in a 3:2 shape, or leave it empty and the theme draws a card in the Drawn card colour scheme, with the amount on it if you like. Under Details, choose what the recipient can do: read the sender’s message, copy the code, print it, scan a QR code at the till, or add it to Apple Wallet. Show logo or shop name uses the logo from Theme settings.
